Default Steam cleaning engine

Does anybody have any advise on steam cleaning the engine?.

Default I have always had good succes with the following formula.....

Drive the car so it is fully warmed up and then park it for about 10 min with the hood up.

Then take full strength Simple Green and liberally spray it all over the engine, concentrating on the really gunked areas.

Let it soak for about 5 min.

If there is heavy build up, take a bristle brush and work on the heavy areas to loosen up the dirt.

Then use a regular hose and <b>LIGHTLY</b> spray down the engine compartment.

Leave the hood open to dry

Then dress the engine with your favorite plastic/vinyl protectant.

don't do it...you can degrease it but steam breaks seals, etc.
