Strange noise. As it has gotten cold I noticed on start up there is a sound I've never heard before.

Default Strange noise. As it has gotten cold I noticed on start up there is a sound I've never heard before.

When I push the clutch pedal in the sound goes away. And it goes away all together after about 30 secs. Any ideas?

Default My guess is the throwout bearing...

probably nothing wrong w/ it. Just a warmup sound you have to live with.

Default could also just be the gears in the tranny>>>>

they may make a little more noise/whirring in the cold, and when it warms...life is good again. A true candidate for synthetic, if it has not been done already...

No. Only when it is very cold. Today it was 38 at startup. No sound.
