Unless you want a show car, 19"s are overkill. Handling will suffer, wheels more prone to bend.

Default disagree. with all but the bend part. and then, that's not always the case.

a well-made 19 will be just as nimble and strong (or more so) than many of the 18's out there.

and 'sides... they're purdy.

Default my 19's have been great to me, but the potholes have been awful to them.

and many of these potholes are impossible to avoid.

so, one of my wheels has taken minor damage.

see the two lil' dents in the lip?

other than that, i've had no issues. oh, but the price of rubber ain't pretty.

Not because of the rim diameter, but because of the decreased aspect ratio tires.

Default slight difference in ride quality. no loss of handling prowess...

perhaps a bit of the opposite.

Default That's Crap!

I've had 18's and 19's on my car. 19's definetly handle better than 18's. From what I've researched the German tuning standard for TT's is 19 inch wheels. If you want the look of the car to be perfect get 19's. I have no bend's or curbage on my wheels from potholes and the roads in L.A. suck. You have to learn to drive with them. You have to pick your path and it's not alway's down the center of the lane.

Default Well, you DO have Superleggeras... most 19"s aren't as fat-free.

I'm a bit on the fence with the handling issue. They do look awesome, though. How is your car doing, BTW? Are you going to throw a 19mm bar on it?

Votex front lip changes the car, and for only $260-ish w/o paint.
