Suspension sugestions? Coilover= harsh ride?
Want something to lower abit, but don't want a stiff hard ride (pot holes etc roads not the greatest in rural NY). Like KW3 but have not heard if ride comfort suffers . I know handling improves, but want a smooth ride.

Some coilovers aren't harsh at all.
Most street type of coilovers like the KONI and H&R Street are very compliant and perfect for daily driving applications. They aren't harsh and certainly improve the overall ride quality and performance.
There are some out there more geared for track setups which can be a bit harsh in some situations.

My understanding is that the Bilstein SP shocks coupled with Eibach springs will give you the ...
combination your seeking. At least that is what my research has been finding. H purchased the springs and am planing on getting the shocks soon.
It will be interesting to see the comments from all of those who have different combinations.

Plus: going to 19" wheels will have a big effect on ride. The overwhelming opinion here is that...
18" wheels give a much more comfortable ride and are more forgiving of poor road conditions. Where in rural NY do you live?

my observation on my KW's >
they are fine at slow speeds, but where they seem to shine is at high speeds - I take the same drive every day to work, and it's got a series of dips/bumps that are a pain at 25, that I just float over at 45 or 50; same with highway driving, and always great feel, never loss of contact. The V1's are not adjustable - they're factory set at 'commonly desireable' damping and rebound rates, so it might be if you want to tweak for lower speed 'comfort' a V2 or V3 adjustable is the way to go.

my Bilstein/Eibach rides surprisingly well through the potholes of baltimore. I'm running 18"
Potenza SO3's, which are a fairly stiff sidewall...
I think the ride is better than stock.
I think a setup like KW v3's can give you any ride you want. If you set the ride height high and the dampers soft, you'll be fine. If you give in to the temptation to drop the car 2" and set the dampers firm, you'll have a car that's very crisp when it dodges potholes, and you'll need that...
