Default and HP sells cars and torque wins races....chipped 2L should outperform chipped 225hp 1.8L

For example, Revo's A3 2.0L ECU software upgrade is geting 260hp and a womping 299ftLbs of torque vs. 260/284 for comparable #'s for their 225hp 1.8L software. And, with the extra displacement and quicker fuel delivery of the FSI, folks will realize that this new engine is the real deal when they step on the gas in a chipped motor.

Maybe the real reason we are not seeing the 2L model with quattro yet for the A3 or Mk2 TT is that this would just canibalize v6 250hp sales (same reason many here look at the 250hp Mk1 TT model as a step backward in performance).

clickee

Default if audi could build a car 600 lbs lighter, then the motor would be enough>>

and this would be moot...IMO

Default I couldn't agree with you more. It's nice to see an alternative response

to the constant search for 600, 700 horses etc. My hat's off to you.

Thank you so much guys!

-TTinCT: The Porsche in your posted picture is AMAZING!

Btw, if you guys compare a 1.8TQ 6spd Conv. with a Boxter S Tip whats the big diff.?
My bro in law is a mech and he told me you only have to mod. the computer and no need to replace the chip is that true?
I actually prefer the TT to have a better handling and acceleration after the corner, whats a better mod for it?

Default Alas, in the showroom, the gadget count and safety features sell for than delete items.

Hence the porky "safe" cars. Remember, if Audi could charge another $4K per car, they could also engineer in lightness - since doing that costs money.

Default If you want WAY more power and less money spent...........build the 1.8t! Del Rio

For $6k you have 390hp
For $15k you have 600hp.
