I accidentally brought a switchblade key fob home with me. The key to a TT, and no car to go with it. D'oh!
Honestly, my question isn't for malicious use - I work at a company that makes high-speed wireless modems (Metricom Ricochet 128kbps; http://www.ricochet.com), and I'm interested in the transmission band and modulation used by the switchblade. Specifically, I'd like to know what, if anything, we can do to increase the range of the fob by modding it. Mods are something we used to do back in New Orleans as ham radio operators to increase the capabilities of our handheld radios. Primarily soldering new components onto the board.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to get to the FCC database used for registering this info tonight. Must be because the gov't uses so many Microsoft web 'solutions'.
Anyone know what the RF specs are for the switchblade? Feel free to crosspost this into other forums and post back here with any info.
Don't worry mom and dad; I won't try experimental soldering on your $200.00 switchblade....

Figure out how to make the key work on NexxTT's car? Ha. Ha.
Glad you found the key, VoughTT. I am no longer spending our evenings at home looking under beds and going thru pockets!
