Before I posted this thread, I did a search and read a bunch of threads on this subject. There has been quite a bit of discussion on this subject. There are a lot of different opinions on the types and grades and brands of fluid which works best in the TT 6spd. I guess it also depends on the climate in which we live as well as other things. General opinion was that Redline was the best and Amsoil was a close second. I am somewhat partial to Royal Purple lubricants and was wondering if anyone here was using thier Max-Gear in their gearbox? It has a GL-4 and GL-5 rating and is good stuff. I use it in all of the high performance 002 and 091 VW transaxles I build for racing sand drags. I'm not trying to push a brand on anyone, just seeing if anyone out there was using it. I'm getting ready to dump my fluid in my transmission as well as my Haldex unit and I'm going to run some Purple for a while. I will be using the OE fluid for the Haldex.
