Haven't heard good things about the Discovery Channel version
I haven't seen an episode yet, but hear they've cut out a bunch of footage (mainly the news and celebrity part). Also, they've cut the parts where they talk smack about american cars. I really hope this isn't true. The show is perfect the way it is aired in the U.K. no need to alter it at all!!

The "American Edit" is dissapointing if you've seen the BBC versions...
...but even so, it totally smacks around any American domestic show currently showing - but then I am a total Anglophile, well except for my Audi ;-)

The american car shows are horrible
Every single show regardless of what channel they are on, are ****** for the car manufacturers. There is not one truely honest review and the almost never any whitty humor.
I wish some television producers would pay attention to what is being done in Europe. Car shows there are well thought out, and the delivery is excellent and for that they have mainstream consumer appeal. Its not a show just for the car nut. (though the car nut loves the show just as much as the regular viewer)
