Rumors of an early demise!
Check East TN Riders where Killboy hangs out often. Seems THP went on a rampage, and earned a LOT fo FILMED bad press. NC DOT Commish nearly had an accident while riding his bike on the TN side. Some terse official words have been exchanged, and the Dragon will be a Phoenix, arising from the ashes.
Like Mark Twain, I opine rumors of the Dragon's death are premature. But we always knew we ahd to be careful.
On the bright side, North GA has some equally good, and less well-publicized, roads! See my report from last w/e!

THP crossed into NC, but most of the silly enforcement was THP/Blount County SO.
"Disguised" Harley's and trucks all bearing THP's finest.
Sadly, most are just doing a job. They can sometimes selectively NOT enforce, but THP management was on a Crusade to savce us from oursleves. East TN Riders report THP caused 3 accidents that week.
