Default talked to AoA about ISOFIX/LATCH Child seats for TT (long)

Okay, finally talked to the child safety expert at AoA (they actually have one), and here's the official word on the LATCH (ISOFIX) mounting points for the TT--they aren't there, yet.

Well, the top tether part is there, on the back of the rear seats, but the two mounting brackets in the gap between the seat back and cushion are not.

If you look carefully in that gap (called the "bight", I believe) you will see two threaded bolts under a section of carpet. AoA plans to offer a retrofit kit in January that your dealer can install to make your TT LATCH-capable.

So what about the Audi OEM LATCH seat available in Europe, I asked? Well, it's not DOT approved in the US and so won't be sold here. So the only current choices are from Fisher Price and Cosco. I assume by next year some time that more manufacturers will have one, too.
