Default Temp gauge rises while driving

I always seem to have some kind of issue after it's been stored for the winter.

This time it's a coolant temp issue.

Last year there were two instances that temps would rise pass the middle mark on the gauge.
1. Stopped in traffic with a/c off (turn on a/c and it would go down to middle).

2. After turning the car off, then back on again the temp would be a tick past the middle.

Didn't really think these were huge issues, since i've heard of others with the same issues.

But know the temp rises a tick past middle even while I'm driving. After a few miles it'll come back to the middle. It's erratic.

I have a weird humming noise that whines downs everytime I come to a stop too.

Should add - Changed the thermostat with oem and had a coolant flush spring of last year. New temp sensor 3years ago. Radiator fans seems to work - they kick in when temp needle passes middle, they sometimes also turn on right after I turn off the car and it's still hot.

Bubble in the coolant lines?

Just a thought.

Slap may be right. Burp it and see if the problem is gone. If it persists, you may have a faulty T-stat, faulty sensor or a faulty water pump.

You might want to check the temps via the HVAC too and confirm it is actually running warm. You could be seein signs of the temp gauge going bad.....which means a new cluster
