Default Temperature control ****

How difficult is it to replace the temperature control **** on the TT? Mine broke in half, with the wife driving and don't feel like going to the dealer for service, if I can do it myself.

You have to buy the whole unit...

Default you can swap out the switch yourself...4 Torx25 in each corner..

but like Steve says, its one whole unit.

P/N 8N0 820 043A

contains both circular switches (L & R), all 6 buttons and the center display with AUTO button below. i believe the interior temp sensor is located above the display.

i have a spare unit if you're interested. not at all eager to part with it...but let me know what the dealer wants and maybe we can work something out.

Did the whole thing break in half or is it only the tip that broke?

Just the top outer cover, where the light comes thru.

Thanks, I am going to check if my extended warranty will cover this. I will also check the dealers price.

Default looks like it might be able to be taken apart...but don't think there's a separate part # for

the switch/**** itself. completely sealed with looks like a T5 Torx.

Default The top portion of the switch does have its own part number..........

When I bought my car, it had the top portion missing. I went to the dealer, they had an exploded view of the unit and there was a part number for the top of the switch where the light comes through. I bought it and popped it on.
