Default had eibach/bilstein -- i'm not even sure i can sell them ...

honestly they were such a poor ride that i feel guilty subjecting someone else to them. i think they'd be better off going in the garbage.

Default well, gkrikori has been in two cars with the bilstein/eibach setup ...

mine and raffi's, and he didn't notice anything odd about mine. suspension feel is a personal thing, i guess.

Default Ditto, plus my old harsh OEMs make everything else feel better

But I'm sure someone will like them if you try to sell them based on personal taste, since alot of people have that combo...

I'll contact SPP and finalize on Konis/Bilsteins.
Once it's done, I'll give you a ride!

Default It's physics....

And engineering... a force cannot be equally dissipated with a harder spring and less travel without sacrificing ride quality, and handling.

Default no ...

you are making all sorts of assumptions -- most importantly, the springs in the rear are probably not linear ... with an non-linear spring, it's easy to get a more comfortable around-town ride and still stiffen up when necessary. but even ignoring that, if you change the length of the shock, you can get a lower setup without changing the overall amount of travel available (well, until one hits the fender well, but in the rear that's pretty much impossible to do).

Default KW rears are linear and stock or Eibach, H&R, ABT are progressive...

My PSS-9 rears were progressive also... so there goes your theory.

Default <shakes head>

so you're convinced that gkrikori and myself are lying about the attributes of my setup? why would we do this? i'm telling you it's better, he's telling you it's better, and you keep telling us that what we feel is wrong. you've never been in a car with the setup (pss9's are <i>not</i> the same setup). until you have, you're just spouting off ...

Default What you are not understanding...

Is it's not the suspension only.. it's also the amount of lowering. You just proved yourself, that the situation is even worse that you had initially thought so... why don't you talk to me in 6 months.

Default worse how?

you remind me of the iraqi information minister ...

in six months the setup will be even better, because i will have had an opportunity to get the compression and rebound dialed in just the way i want them. right now i'm already in another league from stock, mind you ... but it can be made even better.

ps. another audiworld'er just drove my car today, and loved the setup.
