Default Thanks Steve, hats off to you all who organized this event. We had a blast, and winning something

makes it more fun too. Thanks for the freebies - Audiworld frames, Meguire's stuff and Earnst came by to give us 2 Audiworld sport caps that really match the TTR. On top of that, the shirts look great, and can't wait to get an NorCal magnet to stick around my car on track events. Oops, forgot to sign up for it.

AutoX was a blast, although I was kinda hoping for fun runs to see what kind of times I can do with the TTR. Jenny drove it with good results, but I can feel the a bit too much body roll and the tire squeels which I have to address to get more decent times.

Default What times did you manage in the autox?

I thought I asked you...but maybe not. For awhile there I felt like a chicken with its head cut off. :-)

Default Good news...bad news....

First the good news..I went faster with each run (though my 4th was scored as a DNF).

The bad news is they were AWFULLY slow. My fastest run was 5 seconds slower than you...a 74 second run.

I was really upset with myself. It served as a big lesson that I need to work on being tidy and quick. The TT tends to plow and it's not possible (with Quattro) to bring the tail round. To drive it quickly I think you have to be very tidy...not my usual style. So I was hitting far too many early apexes and just generally going too slow. So I want to get more "seat time" to work on this. I'm still finding it very confusing driving through cones...they offer none of the usual sight lines I use to judge corners like kerbs, trees, walls, ditches that you get on roads or in forests.
