Default Is there any easy way to disconnect the CD changer for bose system?

I just installed an Aux adaptor in my stock bose system. However, I assumed the cd changer I needed to disconnect so I could use it would have just been on the back of the head unit. Well that doesn't seem to be the case.

I have did some searchs and someone said that it would need to be done at the changer itself... So do I have to take of the plastic side panels then just to get to this plug? or anyone know of a better way? Thanks in advance.
