Default Is there any room to negotiate on the retail price of a new TT?

I'm about to become the proud owner of a new 180 TTCQ, denim blue/denim blue -- I've got a deposit holding the car until Monday. The sticker price is $36,175 (premium and bose packages). The dealer said that he could only take $500 of the price. Is this typical? Should I be able to get more off the price than that? Any and all input is appreciated. I cannot tell you all how excited I am to purchase this car! Thanks.

You can get a LOT more off the price...do the research (www.edmunds.com is a great site they had the invoice correct to the penny!) and hit some of the online buying services. I just bought a 225TTR and the list was 42100....I paid 3k under that and think I should have played a little harder....maybe could have gotten a little better deal. Shop around enough and someone will make you a deal. If ur in the atlanta, GA area email me and I can give you the salesman I used...

Default Audi has a special lease deal on TT's this month as

well. It's worth a look if you don't drive more than 12K miles/year. Your eventual buyout may be very favorable in the end and you could sell the car for a profit over the residual.

Default Yes, Yes, YES!!!!

I am looking at an '01 225TTC the sticker is something like $39,300 and I have three dealers going back and fourth....right now they're down to $36,200 which is still about $1200 over invoice. My goal was $36k or under when I started this process. Wait until I call the dealer and tell him I want the same price when ordering an '02 model....he's gonna flip....

There is a guy selling the car that you want, he won in a lottery. It is posted on the allroad forum. The only difference is that it is a 225hp car so more bang for the buck. Check it out.

Default Sure thing.....Usually depends on how many they have on hand. When I bought mine it was the only TTR

on the lot, so they wouldn't play, but when there are lots of 'em on the lot....You can get them down pretty well.
