Is there really that much diff between ttr 180 and ttr 225?(not in price)
#2
Having driven a 225 today (roadster) and owning a 180 Coupe
I would have to say these is a difference. I noticed the 225 pulled faster then my 180, and it did it all the way up until redline. The turbo seemed to kick more. I know there are not a TON of differences between the engine of the 180 and the 225, but I think the added intercooler helps a lot. My opinion, IF you can get the 225, I got my TT when there was no 225 and no roadster so my options were limited. Both will be excellent cars, but a 225 will be faster. Plus if you do mod the 225 will give you a higher starting point. While the gains will not be as significant as the 180, I don't think a 180 can really be modified up the that of a similar modified 225.

Drive them both and the difference will become clear
I thought I wanted a 180 roadster, but the first dealer I went to only had 225's. As I drove the car I thought, wow, what a rocket sled --- much more power than I will ever need. Then I went to another dealer and test drove a 180. Not bad, but no rocket sled. Ended up buying the rocket sled with no regrets. Believe me, if you are willing to pay the extra dough, you will never kick yourself for buying a car with too much power.
