Okay, not really, but damn if it doesn't sound that way in neutral.

So, now that I've got one of these:

(Okay, not really one of THOSE, but I couldn't find a picture of mine.)

Lightened flywheels are frickin' awesome, but man, the noise that the gears make when the clutch isn't depressed!! Holy lord.

Oh, and those of you who complained about the poly-motor mounts would go MAD.

There's a VERY noticeable difference in revs and in spooling, but it may not be worth it if you can't take the chatter.

Default In my A4 I have a sach's clutch with semi-lightweight flywheel....

the flywheel is lightened...but not too light. It adds to the performance and feel of the car, without the chatter and drivability losses (in traffic) of the really lightweight flywheels. Im not sure if they make them for the TT....but it could be a good alternative.

Default There doesn't seem to be a middle-ground on the market right now.

And it was cheaper and better-performing to get the lightened one over stock. ;-)

Default Redline - MT-90 in the box? If not.......

give it a shot - should help quiet things down a little. OR make them worse :-)

I've been warning people about this. The gear lash noise is hideous.

Default That reminds of a lady at work that had her cat crawl up under her hood to keep warm......

She started her engine to come to work and kitty was no more. What a mess too!
