They finally got me for no front license plate
#12
5 years for me in two weeks..have never been questioned once....
some cities like SF, SJ and Fremont enforce it because they have photo radar installed... don't think any of the towns here in the valley do it yet....

I just picked up a TT from Philly and brought it back to Va. where we have front plates.
Take the OEM license plate mount and drill two small holes in the bottom where it overlaps with the lower grill. I ran two toggle bolts through the holes and into the grill and slightly tightened until the toggles caught behind the grill. Next take some foam pipe wrap or some other material and place behind the mount near the bottom to force the mount up and out. I than used some 3M double sided tape, build up three layers and place on the bolt holes on the upper part of the mount. I later had to epoxy the tape to the mount, but the other side stuck to the car fine as long as you remove all wax and that tape has a clean surface to stick to. Tighten the toggle bolts, but not too tight, just firm enough to secure the mount. Now just screw the licence plate on to the mount. You can pull the tape off and unscrew the bolts when you are ready to remove the mount. This should give you either a temporary or long term solution without drilling into the front bumper.

Nope, in SF. Never had a problem anywhere else.
parallel parked on a street with a car in front and back. Dude must have been looking really hard to notice it wasn't there.
I actually moved out of the valley in Nov. Bought a place in San Mateo.
Who was the outfit that did your audio setup. I know I asked before, but can't find the email...
