I park near a construction site at work and they were spraying waterproofing last week. Two days ago I noticed millions of tiny black mark like overspray on my car and they were hard to remove. Now Ive realized that these construction workers sprayed my car. Mine wasnt the only one so Ive noticed them washing it off all the cars so mine was on the list. However they are using hand cream that construction workers use to remove every chemical known to man. What is this going to do to my paint. If I wash it straight away after work will it be okay.

company admitting their responsibility in case there is damage to your paint, and then ask a body shop for a professional opinion. This way you have recourse against them should it be neccessery. I am not an expert at all - others here certainly know more than I do re claybar use - but I would think if you attempt to remove the overspray yourself and then have a problem, the construction company could say you caused the damage by not letting them "wash" the car.

If you wash it yourself, they may accuse you of causing the damage. It is very important that you document the condition of the car when you get it, if you chose to clean it yourself.
If you are going to let them lean it, I wouldbe ready with a camera or video.
