Default Is this thingamabob the MAF sensor?

A couple of people suggested the MAF might be my problem here but I'm just not sure that's what I'm looking at. Anyways, if that's the MAF, should I just try pulling it and then starting the car? ...And should I leave it unplugged until I can get it replaced?

So do I unplug it and leave it unplugged? The connection looks just fine.
