Those with boost machine + Norgren check valve- which way does it go?

Those with boost machine + Norgren check valve- which way does it go?
I am looking at the valve and one side has a ring cut into it. I need to know which side this ring sits on- the pressure relief valve OR the regulator side. I just don't know which way the one way valve sits.
