I am ordering the small filter cover for that, but it is out of stock for now, so I wonder what I can do for now.

Just make sure it cant suck up any debris.Put an old sock over it.

Default no, the other post only show me what I need, I still no answer what happen if I let it open for now
as they dont have that thing in stock.

Default You can run with it open for awhile...>
But go to RadioShack and get a Foam Microphone sock until you get the breather you want. (actually, That'll do just fine...This thing only runs for a few minutes on start-up)
