and a nice amp to power it. Maybe a 8 or 10" sub inbetween the seats/dash area? I like his cut wheels.

a seriously modified 94 Yamaha V-Max, so I'm very familiar with Stack, the pro's AND con's. The unit has a very small footprint which is frankly "lost" in the TT's instrument pod, this has been done before and I've seen it. Not an improvement to my eye. Secondly the graduations on the tach, are very small and difficult to read...especially IMHO with the seating position of the TT, and my aging eyesight lol. Third the information bar at the bottom with 4 functions displayed can be somewhat hard to get "quick information"...I tend to "read" it, then my slow witted brain has to "process" that...all with my eyes off the road. There is a better way...
What you don't see is the Defi HUD unit, with much the same information the Stack would have provided, right up on the windshield.
An exhausting effort went into the choices of the instruments used and the layout, as well as the entire interior of this car. Stack, SpA, Autometer Nexus, Motronic...name it...all were considered, as well as the layout design to be used. A half dozen drawings were made up and considered of the custom dash/pod options. For a variety of technical and esthetic reasons what you see is what was best for information, AND best in keeping with the already fantastic Audi interior which stock, is one of the best. In the end, as the project went on, I was determined to present the car with the original themes and look, at a "higher" level.
There's not a doubt in my mind we were successful. My only regret was not being able yet to reface and recalibrate the speedo and tach to reflect the higher top end, and redline, but with the HUD unit it is really a moot point.

Thought so. I love the BF gaugues.
Also always been a V-Max fan, that machine of yours is badass. Closest I came was a V65 Magna before the jump to American Iron. Kinda regret never getting a V-Max.
