Those who removed MAF vanes & screen...where did you feel the benefit?

Those who removed MAF vanes & screen...where did you feel the benefit?
On the low end, or high end? I honestly could not tell much difference with normal street driving or slightly aggresive highway speads.
Although it seems like I have a slightly higher idle speed now.
