Default For those wondering about the jumpy gas gauge...

I just got my car back from the dealer to have a brand new instrument cluster replaced for my vehicle. Guess what? it didn't fix the faulty gas metre at all. I was also having problems with the heat metre rising near the redline after a drive when idling, but by replacing the instrument cluster it fixed it, doesn't jump around anymore like it used to, but the gas metre is still messed up. Oh well, I've already made my next appointment coming up in 2 weeks.

I've also had my DV replaced, it seems like its a lot smoother now and no more honking noise. I've driven about 50km today, so far so good, lets see if it'll die on me like my old one. So anyways, what I'm trying to say is, replacing the instrument cluster doesn't do jack, so if you brought in your car to have the problem fixed, and they suggest replacing the instrument cluster, tell them 'sure!' cos that way they'll learn the hard way and you can sure bug them some more about it so they find a fix to it quicker ;P (jk)

It's the gas gauge sensor that's flaky. It lives inside the fuel cell (tank).
