Default Thought I'd amuse everyone at the office...

and slid right off the edge of the parking lot as I came in this afternoon. Overshot it about a car's length. Luckily no obstructions and ended up in the grass/snow. My 4WD though backed right back up on it without a problem, and I got out of the car with a bow...shucks man, I had that PLANNED the whole time, snicker, LOL (whew...wipe of brow).

Snow coming down at a good clip here now in N.IN.

Hmmm...perhaps snow tires WOULD be wise.

Default Good job!

It amused me and I didn't even see it.

Sounds like something I might try . . . .

Default hmm...

I drove into the large empty parking lot at work one morning, many years ago... it was covered in a sheet of ice, so I roared in and then hit the brakes. it was fun sliding for a while. oops, that drainage ditch at the back edge is coming up awfully fast - it seemed so far away when I started ... yikes (!?) managed to stop a few feet from the edge, whew! a little close for comfort. I drove slowly back to find a parking space. maybe next time, a little slower... :-)

all's well that ends well!

Default If you're not sold on snow tires yet...

Come on over to South Bend, and I'll show you why they're worth it. I've been having a blast the last few days.

Default Any 17 inch wheels that'll fit over my 993TT brakes?...

thought I remember someone posting that they had purchased a 17" winter combo that fit over the StopTechs (same size?). Until then I'll be limiting the snow-driving to the fluffy-powdery stuff.

It must be my tires/wheels cause my 1991 C4 Cabriolet (with 16 inch) did MUCH better than the TT in snow....but then again, a lot of ice on the roads here the past couple days so maybe it isn't a fair comparison.

Denny posted a few days ago about some 17" RS4 lookalikes that fit over her Stoptechs.
