Default Throttle pedal Click

I've notice a 'click' when driving in low speed stop and go traffic. (It may happen at higher speeds, but I only hear it at low speed).

The click only occurs when the clutch is engaged, and the car is in gear.

There is a click when I press the gas pedal only about 1/2 cm, and there is also a click when I let off of the pedal and let it return to 0%.

My guess is a sensor of some sort, but I find the need for the clutch and gearbox to be engaged interesting.

Thoughts or opinions welcome.
