Default $700 to $1,500

Depending on whether you use an independent garage or the stealer

Default Depends on where

typically a good indy shop 450-550 plus parts.
Stealer ....well they dont call them STEALERS for nothing!
More important is the QUALITY of work.
As an example I just had mine done a a small AUDI only shop (a sole propietor who is the only employee, an ex-racer and ex-heliocopter mechanic) that I would trust my pacemaker to...no I dont have one YET..and paid $480 plus the dieselgeek $270 shipped....sooo..$750.
Local stealer quoted $1300 but I dont trust their work nearly as much.
As evidenced by the fact that I had it done at 59000 miles and am still under warentee I just didnt trust them to rebuild the head properly if anything happened!
