Default Tips, Tricks for unsticking a rotor from the hub? It is rusted on and ..

doesn't want to cooperate. The screw came out easily after a quick squirt with WD40. I sprayed the hub from both sides and did some minor tapping with a hammer on a piece of wood. No go. Before I really get midevil with the hammer any other ideas?
thanks

Default Use a 20# sledge, on a block of wood if you're re-using the rotor, nothing if not.

Won't take much effort-- maybe 3 whacks and it'll be laying on the garage floor.

Default But watch your wheel bearing afterward...

<center><img src="https://secure.cnchost.com/kanolabs.com/images/kroilit2.gif"></center><p>'cause it could be ruined.

I use Kroil (let it soak overnight) and a propane torch first, but sometimes have to resort to brute force as a last resort.<ul><li><a href="https://secure.cnchost.com/kanolabs.com/kanopnlu.htm#anchor173855">kroil</a></li></ul>

Rubber Mallet and a few well placed wacks should do it.

&amp; a 20# hammer couldn't be worse than a small pothole.
