Default Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S

great tire with stick, performance rivals a lot of summer only tires

Default second those- very happy with mine- I see a denim blue coupe on>>

my way to work sometimes and he has them also. Only minor complaint is slight flat spotting when first driven which goes away after a few miles. It seems to have gotten better (lessened) with a few miles on them.

Default Pirelli P6000's on my sled...>>

or if you have the cash, look at the BFG KDW2. Those are supposed to be grippier than a drunk prom date. And of course, the venerable Goodyear F1s. Not sure if the F1's qualify as all-season, tho.

I put Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S on my old GTI, and I really liked them. They're a good all-season tire at a very good price. Thing is, the P6000 series (or the P6's) aren't much more and they seem way stickier. Keep in mind: in my experience the Pzero Nero's suffer from a lot of road noise.

Default And your P6000s aren't way noisy?

Mine drive me nuts, but they're old too (OEM with about 25k miles on them).

Default Nah... they're whisper-quiet! >>

Actually, in my experience Pirellis tend to be a little loud compared to other tires I've used, especially (like you said) with age. I went to P6's from my OEM P6000s, had to transition with a pair of Nitto Neo-Gens (****ty, ****ty tires), and went back to P6000s (saved a couple of bucks over the P6), and I love 'em. They stick great in all kinds of conditions, they wear well, and they have a nice looking profile.

I might go to those BFG KDW2 tires next, if I'm feeling like dumping some dough on a new set of rubber. They're supposed to be The Stickiest. But again, I'm not sure they're all-season.

Second that. IMO better than the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S I just replaced.

they're a little skinnier than I'd like. I'll go 235s next time
