Just got this today (along with a helmet and neck brace for the track.) Its a Quickcar 60psi liquid filled tire gauge. Pricey at $40, but now I know the truth.
Imagine my joy to find the cheapo Audi gauge I got in the mail is actually correct. Oh well, at least the cheapie fits in the glove box!

I don't get into that moogly woogly magnet stuff.
as for your gauge, it may or may not work right. Mine does, but Jeff Bipes gauge was high by 3 psi!
YMMV.
