The installation was not too hard. It took me about 2 hours because I did it slowly and with a lot of patience. I removed the air box to make room and work easier. The only problem was that I lost one of the screws of my air box. But I obtained a similar one and installed it again.
Results: It feels short but hard when cycling through the gears. I don't know if it's normal or I have to adjust something. This is the first time a drive a car with a short shift. If anyone has comments about if it's normal or no I will appreciate it.

No comparison to the OEM VW "spagetti stirrer" it replaced, but also much stiffer and takes a lot more effort to shift than the TT's OEM shifter, which surprised me. Have to say the TT has the best shifter I've ever used; I personally would not change it.

After talking with Jim @ Dieselgeek, I went with the non-race kit, as he said it is more civilized and most like the standard shifter. I would say it is identical to the standard shifter, with shorter throws. I am so glad I had it done. Puts a smile on my face with every shift.
