Following RoberTT's lead, while I was cleaning up the front brakes today I installed the Brake caliper stiffening kit available from TyrolSport (see link at end). This mod is supposed to do away with uneven brake pad wear. I wanted to replace the caliper pins eventually anyway, but after seeing RoberTT's post a few weeks ago I decided to go this route. Great install instructions on the TyrolSport web site make this a quick and easy install. Here's the kit:

Old rubber bushings were pushed out and replaced with the new sleeves and pins.

I noticed that when I hit the brakes, no vibration and the car has a better response.
A very nice and inexpensive upgrade.
