Default Too YOUNG for a TT?

I just graduated from college about 2 months ago. My car ('85 CRX) promptly died. I started my new job, process engineer, and it was time to start shopping. I looked around and settled between 2 cars TT and Honda S2000. I know I was aiming a bit high. But I get sick of 55 year olds driving all the nice cars. I checked out autobytel and w/ in 15 minutes a dealer called me. He had a 2000 TT silver with ALL the options, minus the phone. I went down, did some grinding and got the car for a pretty fair price, a little over 32K. plus and extended 5 year 75K warranty, no charge.
The day I showed up at work peoples' jaws just dropped. How can a 25 year old afford it? Easy, BUDGET YOUR LUXURIES FIRST.
So I'm pretty much in heaven right now, until I make my first insurance payment. $2000 a year OUCH! But it's worth it. I love my car.
By the way if any of you parents want me to talk to your kids about the value of an education, no prob.

Default Definitely not too young. We're just lucky enough to graduate college when the economy is so hot.

But don't forget to invest in some property --> phat tax write off.
I'm 25, too.<p>sTTacey

Good point. I lived it. Try graduating in summer 1992. College grad, $6.50/hour.

Default I have a very biased opinion on this...

I bought my first Porsche at the tender age of 17. That was my 944, no big deal. I bought my 911 at the age of 19. I bought my TT at the age of 22 (just recently). My opinion? I feel I started too late. If I hadn't been so unresponsible with what I bought when I was younger, I could have had that 944 at the age of 16. I had the cash.

The secret is, not to be an old person, yet, the secret is to work hard, and earn what you want. I've never had any help from parents or whatever, I earned my luxuries myself. I worked hard, spent countless hours teaching myself how to use a computer starting at age 6. Now, I'm a 22 year old UNIX system administrator, making good money.

Nobody is too young for anything, unless it was handed to them, and not worked for.
