Took a 225QC TT overnite... =))) First experience...
Well, to start from, i actually expected a little more power from a 225hp bullet. 
(maybe im comparing it to my V6 2.7tt, and thats my mistake), but seriously i was a bit disappointed after a few miles. But hey it was my first time driving a Manual..!
But than, that TT started sucking it up. I somewhere probably realized that in a TT its not all about acceleration. It did superb on the corners. I just couldn't stop shooting them around the city. Also, I probably could not have more fun with a car inside the city. I hate standing behind someone on the stoplight, because I know 1 out of 3 will talk on the phone, and every 4th will do some other business. So I try my best to avoid them by starting first on green from the right. Carefully, not racing. I let'em go if they get mad. With that car I can squeeze anywhere thou!
It was just ridiculous in comparison with the big sister, A6!
The funny part is that I couldn't even stick my head out of the window when asking directions!!! Nomore bye-bye kisses from da chicks?! However I managed to fit 2 in the back. Boy, were they annoying! So anyways, the night before, me and my friends did a "capacity test". We actually fitted 4 people! Two 6 feet tall, and two 6" 2' - 6"3'. Im not that familiar with the US standarts in height, but I know im about 6...fets? Foots? Foot? W/e... And the trip was NOT 2 stoplights long! It actually was a 30mi distance! So im finally satisfied. Not too hapy about the rear room, but it was OK. The worst part was that I(driver) had to sit really close to the steering column. WAY not comfy.
I also had a kill. Not that I won, but we dragged. It was a Type-S RSX. Stick. 6sp is my very best guess. I got behind him in traffic. He tried to get away from me, but again, it was traffic. 2 lanes. Someone pulled over to turn left, I got in front on right lane. He quickly managed to suck it up, but didn't look like he really wanted to race. About 19yo. Sure, "didn't want to tell friends what a kill he did"... haha Again, this was the 21st hour after I got to drive a stick, first time! I didn't want to abuse it, so I didn't try learning the launching part. My tires were pretty worn, forgot to turn off ESP. My only priority was - it was raining for 3 days in a row here in Chicago. He finally pulled over next to me. No dirty look at me, just idling, I was like w/e, but was ready to Fight! The light turns green - he hesitates. I'm about to start as usual and he spins the rubber. Im like, come back! By the time I got my engine to some k's rpm to let the clutch go, he already was 1.5 cars ahead of me. I couldn't really tell if he was faster. So maybe one of you could tell me your results..?
I remember passing by those teenagers in the mall. 10 out of 10 were looking at me(trying to figure out what pimp it was! j/k ), and one said, "That's my car!" She was wrong.
So the overall impression was pretty positive. Every car has its little secrets/minuses. And right now im in the middle between a 330i/330ci ZHP Package or 225QC. Im proud that in my short experince I already got to drive 2 Audi's, and I seem to love them too much to betray them for a BMW. If you know what I mean.
BTW, it was a 2001 TT Quattro, 6sp, 225, Silver/Black. One word - beautiful. 75k mi on it thou, maybe I had some boost leak, and that's why it lacked in acceleration. Also it was pretty messy in it. The dealer wouldn't even clean the inside! WTF?! I found $1.5 only in coins!
I also have a few questions.
1) Which years have bugs removed. If so, what years i should be looking at. Any recommendations? I did the archives, found that 2001 is deffinatelly not the best choice. Starting from late `02s?
2) What are the gains from a chip alone? Plus cold air, or just regular K&N..? Not really into exhausts... Maybe deletion of resonators...or something like it, maybe.
3) Do I get 4yrs/50k mi warranty AND Maintenance automatically? Did Audi have free maintenance from '02-'05?
