Default On-Topic: Performance issues - some MAF and N75 thoughts...

I am at 46k and have begun to notice some performance issues as of late. My car 'stumbles' upon acceleration in the 25-35 mph range, I have a newfound N75 DTC, the audible turbo spool-up is less than it was in the past, and my "butt-dyno" is telling me that things are not quite what they used to be.

We've seen countless posts on MAF failures and as of late, much discussion on N75 valves. I am thinking of replacing both - now. My dealer will replace the N75 as part of my warranty. They are not so inclined on the MAF though as it is not producing any DTC's and in their words, "it is VERY uncommon for these to go bad".

So, is this a prudent step? I have a VAGCOM tool, but, unfortunatly, don't know how to use it. I am chipped (GIAC), and have a Hyperboost DV installed that is properly lubed and working.

In the case of the N75, I'll buy it directly from the dealer. I'll go with the cheaper VW MAF (after I do a search and find the proper VW part #).

What ELSE should I do, and is replacing both of these (at the same time) a prudent step?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Default Glen - make them do the MAF test outlined in the Bentley - mine wasn't throwing codes either but

after doing the test - they determined it was in fact bad and replaced it under warranty.
