Toshiba 42H81 arrived. Burn in procedures requested - RTFM no help.

contrast and color should remain turn down permanently to preserve longevity and prevent raster burn
the only break in rules are that the set should have anywhere between 100-500 hours on in before you do any calibration or ISF work.
also, statistically, most physical problems occur in the first 50-100 hours so it is sort of an insurance measure
the extended warranty is probably a good idea, you may want to reconsider; one in home service visit will cost more than an entire warranty - most warranties also included lemon policies, partial rebates if you never file a claim, and free cleanings.
