Default Re: Transmission problem is not a myth, as far as I can tell

which pedal is the clutch? Just kidding! I just got 2 cars in with possible trans problems, and I will be checking them out personally - 1 is a customer's car, the other an Audi press car! I will post any repairs we do to keep every one informed. P.S. yes you can install aftermarket cd changers or any other items to a TT! Just be prepared to take the responsibility on of paying for non warranty covered repairs - if there are any problems. Steve

The updates on the 2 transmissions - 1 has not yet acted up, and with the owners permission I will drive tonight and try to get more miles and time on it to try to duplicate a 1-2 gear grind, the second car had 7500 very hard miles on it with a code in the memory for over-revving the engine! Possibly a miss-shift? Anyway it had a block to the linkage that had backed out when the trans jolted/bucked from a possible 4th to 1st mis shift. It was fixed with little problem and shifts just fine!
