Default Treadmills -- Is TRUE a good t'mill? Any comments or other preferences

Looking for high quality, quiet treadmill so I can huff and puff and sweat at home.

Will be in training for the Vegas Marathon sometime early next year. So I need to get in shape to get into shape.

So need something with programs to alternate between something that is easy on the knees and the street and to keep track of my heart when it's about to burst.

The only way to lose weight was to have a running goal, so here it goes.

Default My experience is that exercise alone won't do it...

I walk 5mi a day, train w/ dumbells & do situps & pushups. I really think diet is equally as important! I do a low carb(NOT Atkins) thing .Protein & veggies. If your interested email me. I've lost about 25lbs in the last year & have been keeping it off so far. Good luck!

Default I agree ... and do the chicken and veggies and attempt to reduce carbs

have drastically reduced pasta/bread/potato intake but need diet and exercise to work together...

I don't agree w/ Atkins altogether -- reducing carbs is good but so is reducing fat. I ideally go for balance but w/ less carbs

The marathon is something for wife and I to do together -- she's run a couple already --

but I need consistency in diet and exercise.

Default For a top rated home sized durable treadmill, check out the Aerobix pacemaster....

Always gets high marks, has all of the bells and whistles and a nice solid belt and platform....really wonderful if you use it...I just sold mine last week........

Default Although my treadmill isn't a Precor...I have a Precor stationary bike that is top notch...There

stuff is definitely good quality..

My treadmill is great for collecting dust and drying clothes...so, I can't really attest to its durability...but it looks good...LOL
