Trying to get my stubby antenna to look right. Is this normal?

got on that angle. Can you see the back of it from inside the car? Sometimes it's a combination washer/screw type of arrangement. You might have to remove the trunk liner. Is the base loose in there?

and mine is level with the lower (wider part) base. try your stock antenna again and see if that has the same problem.
