Default Trying to purchase a 225 TT

So, I went to a local (Northern CA) dealer yesterday to inquire about purchasing a new 225 TT. The dealer stated that it would be 10 months before I could get one!!! He said it wasn't possible to get a new TT in under 10 months...

Is this true?

The dealer had just received a silver 180 that was to be the dealer's demo car and he told me that I could purchase it for a mere $1000 over MSRP one month from now after they've used it on the lot. NO THANKS! I don't want a used car!

Anyone know how I can get a NEW 225 Aviator Gray, Ebony Leather with all the options (minus phone) before July?

Please help and thanks!

Default Come to the East Coast....

Went to a dealer on Sat. Two on the lot (both sold, one that morning) and two on the way in expected mid May. I plunked down hard currency on a Aviator Grey 225Q with all the options minus phone and nav.

It was the 12 dealer on my list from audiusa.com

The name of the game is calling around and finding another dealer.

I ordered mine in SF area in Jan and will probably receive it in July.

You may want to call out of area or see if anyone who is on the list cancels their car once it arrives, although not likely.

Good luck.

Now that does not sound bad... 3,000+ miles in a TT... a nice thought!

Try Rockville Audi Porche in Rockville MD. As of Friday they had a 225 roadster 2001 and at least one 180 coupe.

The roadster at Rockville Porsche Audi is a 180 FWD (Silver/Ebony) with prem and audio pkg and power top. Just talked to them on the phone...

If Northern CA means bay area (esp. silicon valley), don't even bother with the dealers here. Get the list on Audi's page and start calling the ones that are at least 50 miles away. It'll make you much happier. My 225TTR is on order with a dealer in Loma Linda (LA).
