"Tourist Trophy". Instead it says "INSPIRED" by the Tourist Trophy race.
Is there anywhere that it is definately written what the "TT" stands for?
Maybe, It really doesn't have a meaning and was done this way on purpose to kkep the legond alive?

Page 20 of Audi's 2003 TT Coupe TT Roadster sales brochure, which states:
"Sports cars bearing the name Audi TT must possess real substance and not just style. The TT was, after all, named for the famed Tourist Trophy races."
