Default TT 225 h.p. vs 180 h.p. (Coupe)

Just bought a new 225 h.p. Coupe. One friend has a 180 h.p. coupe reserved at an Audi Dealer in Quebec...was asking me if I knew of people who had the pleasure of driving both, and the differences....he is not yet convinced about his 180 h.p. vs 225 h.p. Coupe...can you help him ?
Thanks
René

Default I've owned both: get the 225. Here's why....

Beautiful 6-speed gearbox, well thought out ratios
Two exhaust pipes looks "cool" (just kidding)
Better (forged) 5-spoke wheels, and
Most important, that extra 45hp is addictive.

Default less expensive and lighter... same car short of hp and 6 speed. Potential for upgrades excellent..

great sleeper car to mod. Make all the knowledgeable think your in a poser then kick sand at 'em. With over 300 hp on tap with APR's stage 3 and 3+ kit it's no slouch. APR's (stoptech) brake kit looks great as well.

Default Yes to what LoR said plus larger vented rear brakes, and ...

I think the OEM turbo plumbing (dual ICs instead of one and larger dia piping) works better IF you plan to mod engine. For me it was simply more hp and torque and something that is just my hang up...symmetry...the dual pipes work for me.

Default not the same car - the lower compression and intake manifold will

be important to Stage III mods
