Default Chipping the car puts you in S Mod Class...

Believe me I've thought about it, but not sure I want to get into SM. A Stock limits what you can do to the car but is also easier on the wallet!

Default I know Art will be there . . .

When are they? Don't you also have to compete in one of the Divisionals before you can go to the National?

I will leave doing all of that for next year.

Also, in SM you can't run the BFG g-force tires! The rules say only street rubber

Default Huh? SM class you can do just about anything...

I think you are confused with Street Tire class. In Street Modified you can do suspension, any exhaust...including removing cats and just having headers and straight pipes, chips, tires, wheels, and changing seats. This class is almost wide open.

Default From what Howard Duncan told me a few months ago . . .

The New Street classes require you to use street rubber. you are not allowed R Compound tires.

I don't have a rule book as I am not serious about auto-x this year. next year I will set my car up for whatever class I plan on racing in.
