Looking into getting a convertible and I've narrowed it down to two cars:
Porsche Boxter S
Audi TT Conv. 225Q
Either one I buy will most likely be used as I already have a TT![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Can anyone with experience with either one, I'm sure we have many with roadster experience, help me with which is better, more mechanically sound, etc...I'm leaning toward the 225Q but I do like the boxster as well, so kind of a tough call....
Thanks in advance!

I think the TT rides alot nicer and the quality in materials blows the Porsche away. I bought a 2002 new and I am still in love with it. I like it so much I plan on keeping itfor a long time. I dont think ther is a better looking Roadster out in ANY price range. The TT as a Roadster is sexy in a smart refined educated way alot of other ragtops are not. Add quattro to a real-honest-to-goodness two seater Roadster and its not a contest.
Alot of people on this forum that has never owned a P-car look at them as some mythical wonder car. I think if the P-cars reputation impresses you, you should try one and get it out of your system. I think you will find alot of ex-Porsche owners on this forum that are now in the TT camp.

The fit and finish of the TT is much better than the Boxster, but the Boxster is a much better handling car. If you want a true sports car with great handling and are willing to accept the lack of creature comforts and fit and finish, the Boxster is your car. However, if like me, you want a good car that is relatively sporty and you can drive in year round comfort that includes snow, then go with the TT. That is just my take having owned both cars. I will not lie, there are sunny days on the right patch of road that make me yearn for my Boxster back. However, I am happy with the TT and the TT community is great.
