Default TT as a daily driver?!?

i am looking at purchasing a TT 3.2 coupe at the end of the year but I have a 50 mile commute to school every day. the TT seems somewhat claustrephobic and i wanted to see how people felt about drving it everyday. any responses are greatly appreciated. you guys are awesome!!

Default I drive my 225 TTQR daily, however it does not have all that much storage space, but your coupe

is perfect, once you put the seats down you have plenty of room. I believe someone even had a dishwasher in the trunk!!

Used to own a Miata roadster -- when I first got in the TTR it seemed HUGE

Default Re: Use mine every day - 50+ miles round trip

and love every bit of stop / start. Freind has a boxter s and does the same his appears less reliable than the TT (also slower now mine is chipped)

Default My 225hp coupe has been a great daily driver for 2 years

My commute is only about 10 miles but on longer trips the car is very comfortable, does not feel claustrophobic at all.

Default How tall are you??

I would not associate the TT with claustrephoia unless you are forced to sit in the back seat. I have heard of guys 6'5" on this forum that have plenty of room. My TT is a daily driver and I have none of the problems with confined spaces. -Doug

Default Get a reliable beater as a daily car...

Seriously, having to drive a nice car *everywhere* is just going to drive you nuts.

If you have the money to drop on a 3.2, I'm guessing you have the resources to own two cars. I walk to the train station everyday to go to work (NYC) and I still find that owning two cars is the only way to live fully.

That's like putting clear vinyl seat covers on.
