Most of the oldsters know all this, but for Noobs attending, bringing along an FRS radio is almost a necessity. A lot of communications typically occur on drives and activities on channel 4 (4 rings ya know!). I just picked up a really nice radio that is a step above the bubble-pak stuff you get at Best Buy etc.

With the right accessories like Mike/headsets, etc. it makes a nice set-up for keeping in touch:

I've been involved in Radio communications since I was a kid Via Ham radio. Also have a marine radiotelephone license....This is a nice piece of gear!
