Default TT exhaust noise

The exhaust noise/character of my TT 180 suddenly changed the other day (after hitting a minor bump), leading me to believe that something broke or cracked. I have a very "boomy" sound now (under load) which is very difficult to isolate directionally because of the low frequency. Took it to the dealer, who of course could not quite hear it. He put it on a lift and didn't see anything. He thought the muffler sounded a little rumble-y, so he ordered another one...

Something tells me that isn't the problem -- it sounds like a break somewhere in the system. I haven't found any obvious leaks or loose heatshields, etc. but it's very difficult to tell since I don't have a lift or ramps. It seems to be exaggerated when cold, but again, hard to really tell.

Any thoughts or experiences?

thanks
Brian
