Driving NT-01's actually. RT-615s are my daily street tire. I've got camber plates maxing out the negative front caber to -1.8 if I remember correctly. It wears my street tires a bit too much on the inside, but works wonders on the track.
The trick with those esses is to not brake until after you crest the hill. You need to have a perfect line going into it to do that, or you are screwed. That is partially why those cones are there on the entry - several people have taken a really weird line in there without braking and have ended up rolling their cars. Pays to take it easy, learn the proper line, and build up your speed gradually!

Sears Point is definitely the top track on the west coast. Although I always love (driving and photographing) Laguna Seca as well.
I'll definitely let you know next time I have plans to head up there though.

Interestingly I have one friend in a TT whose been using Hankook R comps and another using Nittos . At Barber the guy using the Nittos corded the outside of the left front on Saturday. He had only used the tires for two prior events and they still showed tread pattern through the center of the tire. Perhaps this tire does need more negative camber than we can deliver on a TT that is also street driven. The car on Hankooks missed the Sunday afternoon sessions for the same reason. On the Falken RT 615 I have had zero problems with outside edge wear. ( I'm at -1 degree front camber) The Falkens last forever. I did 5 days at Barber, 3 days at Daytona, 2 days at TGPR, and a day at Road Atlanta on this set! Problem is that the TTs on R comps are just a couple (or three) seconds faster. We had discussions about air pressures during that Barber weekend when the others were cording the edges. I feel that our cars need higher pressures to counteract tire rollover. I run 38--38 cold on the Falkens. The cars on R comps were down at 34 or so and I blamed that for the corner wear but maybe there is more to it than that??????

tread.
But, the outside edge is doing a lot of work if there isn't enough camber, and cords.
You seem to be compensating by overinflating, but that has to seriously degrade your grip.

Not sure what Hankooks the guy was running but I was running Z211's which are no longer available and looked alot like Toyo RA1's.

I am still running the Falkens. Street tires need more pressure than R comps. Regardless, on Audis, it seems like everyone has trouble with the outside edge of the fronts and additional pressure seems to help. At least it does me. When I mount the NT01s I will start at say--32 cold and adjust from there. I have no idea what to expect. Thanks for your input.
